About Me

My name is Amanda, I am an artist whose interests span various mediums, including music, photography, drawing, painting, wood burning, and videography. I like exploring ways to incorporate all of my favorite mediums to create a story, one we can all relate to on one level or another.

My business has seen many name changes, as I endeavored to build a brand that was more than just my name. From Amanda Alyise, to Alyxir Art, to Esiylam. Each iteration of my small business has taught me valuable lessons about the kind of business I hope to build and the kind of art I hope to create and share with all of you.

Esiylam is meant to be an artistic haven, a safe place to escape to when life feels a little too real, too heavy to deal with. When I was younger, one of my favorite hobbies was to read books, to lose myself in these made up worlds that were every bit as vivid in my imagination as they would be in any visual media. Growing up, I always wanted to have a share in the visual arts world - I was hooked on video games, fascinated with the natural world, and keen to escape into the world of literature. Esiylam feels like a place where all of my creative endeavors meet together, ready and eager to work in tandem to create more of the things I love. And I document the process for all of you to share in this journey with me.

Since this is where you and I meet, Esiylam is the place where our stories intertwine.

Tools Used:

My wood burner of choice is made by the brand RazerTip - I use the SSD-10 model, which has two inputs allowing the user to switch between two different pen types. It's my favorite wood burner that I've tried, and definitely worth the expense.

For other media, I also use Prismacolor colored pencils, Arteza acrylics, and most recently Holbein Gouache. I hope to expand the media I use to create unique and vivid artwork.

I created a list which I will update as needed with all of the tools I use in my studio - you can find it here.

If you're interested in working together to create some custom artwork, stay tuned! Commissions are currently closed, but if you follow me on Instagram, I post updates on when they will be open again.
